Trusting Yourself When You’re Afraid to Let Go
May 23, 2025
Letting go is hard—even when you know something isn’t working.
The job.
The relationship.
The routine.
The identity you’ve outgrown.
You see it clearly. You feel the misalignment.
And still—you hesitate.
Because even when we’re ready for change, we’re not always ready for the grief, fear, and uncertainty that come with it.
Here’s what I want you to know:
You can trust yourself through the letting go.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You don’t need to feel 100% sure.
You don’t need to wait until you’re fearless.
You just need a small amount of courage—and a lot of kindness.
3 truths to hold when you're afraid to let go:
🌿 1. Fear doesn’t mean you're making the wrong choice.
It means you’re human.
It means you’re stepping into the unknown.
It means you’re paying attention.
Fear is not a red flag—it’s a natural companion at the edge of growth.
🌿 2. Letting go doesn’t mean you failed.
Sometimes, staying would be the failure.
Sometimes, the most self-honoring thing you can do is say, “This version of me has run its course.”
This is not giving up.
It’s choosing to evolve.
🌿 3. You’re allowed to grieve what you’re letting go of—even if you chose it.
Grief and clarity can coexist.
So can fear and readiness.
You can miss what was and still know it’s time to move forward.
At mareia, we support you through the threshold.
Not with false certainty.
But with space, tools, and deep trust in your inner knowing.
You don’t have to carry this transition alone.
